Grant opportunity for youth 18 or younger! 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 @karmaforcara Foundation supports young people nationwide in their efforts to contribute to our society and help repair the world through volunteerism and community service. Through the Foundation's Microgrant Program, youth 18 years of age or younger may apply for grants ranging from $250 to $1,000 to complete service projects in their communities.

Examples of funded projects include turning a vacant lot into a community garden, rebuilding a school playground, and helping senior citizens get their homes ready for winter. It is the Foundation's intent that grants support the nuts and bolts of projects so stipends, facility rentals, and transportation costs are not funded. Application deadlines are quarterly throughout the year, and the final deadline for 2021 is October 1. At BLV we are all about “Learn. Serve. Lead.” but tomorrow- on 9/11 Day of Service- it’s all about “Honor. Serve. Unite.”

Tomorrow, aross the nation, Americans will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by joining in patriotic acts of volunteer service as part of the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance, commonly known as 9/11 Day.

We are so grateful to AmeriCorps National and Community Service @americorps and the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation @mottfoundation for sponsoring the Lead Agency Program via Youth Service America @youthservice and shining a light on the importance of service and community.

Remember, even a small act of service is a giant act of patriotism!!!!! 😍 💚✌ 😍 💚 ✌
