• For IB Coordinators

At Bright Light Volunteers we want to know that we are your committed partner for providing CAS opportunities and global education that changes lives. Below you will find information that will give you the tools and knowledge to make the most of our program opportunities.

  • Committed Partner

  • We are committed to our cause

Our unswerving focus on helping others and providing opportunities for educational and cultural learning – and not for a profit. Our program supports IB students by providing a variety of CAS opportunities to support the attributes of the IB Learner Profile.

Our cause is to make the world a brighter place. To achieve this, we need to support communities in the right way: empowering them enough so that they can become independent of our support, and we can move forward to help others in need.

  • A true partnership

We listen to the IB teachers we work with, and try our best to make each experience uniquely theirs.

We have one-to-one relationships with each teacher we partner with. We pride ourselves on collaborating closely together, and building itineraries together to serve the needs of IB. We hope that each teacher we work with feels the same for us – that it is a partnership for the long term, not just a single trip.

  • Open-minded and accessible

We are open to groups of different sizes and means because we are committed to creating opportunities for all. This allows for personalized experiences tailored for your IB group. If one of your goals is to work alongside another IB group, we will do our best to team IB schools.

Unlike our for-profit peers, we try not to prescribe a certain budget or amount. Being accessible means accommodating any budget to the best of our ability. In addition, we encourage and support fundraising efforts in many ways.

We are a team of life-loving, open and friendly people all wanting to make the world a brighter place.

  • Safety & Security

  • Our experience

We are honest enough to say that, beyond everything, a teacher's trust is the most important thing for us to gain. We gain their trust by proving that we are experts at what we do.

From our experience, we know that safety and security are of utmost importance. Our job is to ensure everything we do is safe, and instill confidence in those we partner with.

  • We do our research

As facilitators, it is our job to ensure we know everything about where we are going and what could happen.

We build on our previous experience, and exhaustively research each itinerary we create to ensure everyone is safe, and everything, including accommodations, food, cultural experiences, CAS opportunities, medical care, travel arrangements, guides, and communication with families is taken care of.

  • A credible partner

We want to be trusted – but we can't just hope for people's trust. We prove our credibility by acting responsibly and professionally.

We prove our credibility through our actions. By not simply saying we are responsible and reliable, but by acting so, and ensuring we gain people's trust. In addition, we share the testimonies of IB students and staff members and can directly connect you with an IB coordinator who has traveled with us so you can hear honest experiences.

  • Life-shaping experiences

  • Tailored experiences

Traveling abroad is a privilege, but we want to work with teachers on a long-term, regular basis.

We are proud to have an opportunity to work with you, and take young adults on the journey of their lives.

Long-term partnerships with IB teachers allows us to take groups of students on exceptional and educational experiences that enhance IB’s overall goals, to develop internationally minded people and create a better world.

  • Once in a lifetime … again!

Traveling abroad is a privilege, but we want to work with teachers on a long-term, regular basis.

We are proud to have an opportunity to work with you, and take young adults on the journey of their lives.

Long-term partnerships with teachers allows us to take different groups of students on exceptional and educational experiences.

  • Building brighter futures

The experiences IB students share with us help them to be inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced, and reflective in the journey of learning more about themselves and the world.

Traveling and volunteering abroad often places students in demanding positions. These experiences test students in positive ways, enabling them to learn about themselves, not just the places they visit.
